Michel Schimpf
Michel Schimpf is a PhD researcher at the University of Cambridge working at the intersection of AI and psychology. He studies how conversational AI can support behaviour change, from setting goals to improving health and emotional well-being.
His research also includes work in Stanford's Department of Medicine. Previously, he worked on alignment and model behaviour at Mistral. He co-founded wahl.chat, a chatbot for political education, and Techdalo, a nonprofit teaching programming skills to students in Colombia.
He studied computer science at the Technical University of Munich, alongside a minor in psychology at LMU Munich.
